The 7th Adventure to Afcon2024 1. The thought to travel to Ivory Coast was conceived in the first week of December. 2. We advertised the and had 15 interested person. The number perfectly meet 3 cars. a. Honda Civic 2020 (Aeroplane) b. Hyundai 2012 (Tractor) c.Hyundai Elantra (2013) 3. Travel documents were made (Yellow fever cards, international drivers license and car pass) 4. Number of attendees dropped from 15 to 7 a week to the journey including our third car (Hyundai Elantra ) 5. The journey begun around 5am on Saturday 13th of January 2024 from Kumasi, through Tarkwa to Elubo around 6pm. 6. Formalities and documents verifications happen at both borders. Ghana and Ivory Coast respectively. (i) Ghana side was swift, but the Ivory Coast side took a little more time. (ii) we spent nearly Ghc 2000 getting stamps for 5 passports, 2 Ecowas Card (Ghana card) and two Ghanaian registered cars. NB. we don't know if we over spent or under spend but some of the payments didn't make sense. We can say (language barrier) 7. Eventually we got to Ivory Coast After a good drive from Noe to Abidjan only to welcome big disappointment. Our hotel booking at () was given out after confirming our coming to them two days early. No communication was sent to us when they're decision to give the room to us changed.
